Matte painting for a film project trailer about the German Revolution of 1848/49. Filmed in August 2006 in Gengenbach. Modern buildings on the opposite riverside had to be replaced by a 19th century town and the white sky with a more colorful one. Used photographs taken of Besigheim, Bietigheim and Heidelberg. Tree in the foreground was added, as well as rising smoke and flying birds. Prussian army created via crowd duplication (there was only one soldier on set).
Made in February 2007, quite quickly, in a couple of days.
